The Classroom Enrichment program is designed for individual faculty members planning an in-class lecture or out-of-class excursion during the academic year to enhance the instruction of undergraduate students. The Office of Educational Enrichment can provide funding support and help plan the logistics for enrichment activities such as class trips to a theatrical performance, museum tour or local landmark. We can also provide assistance for making arrangements for a guest speaker or visiting scholar.
Faculty members who have requested Classroom Enrichment support in the past have received:
- Funding for modest honoraria for guest lecturers
- Funding for transportation, museum admission or theatre tickets for class excursions within New Jersey, as well as New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, D.C. and other regional cities
- Assistance with paperwork associated with trip waivers
Please submit your request for Classroom Enrichment funds on the online application. Typically, requests are reviewed on the first and third Wednesdays of each month during the academic year.
