Meet the Staff

Cara M. Macaluso is Assistant Director of Educational Enrichment in the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs.  She works closely with faculty across the curriculum to enrich the undergraduate student academic experience through classroom enrichment activities and collaborates with Campus Deans to build academic communities that reflect the culture of each individual campus.  Cara has worked in higher education administration since 2000.  Cara earned a Masters in Adult and Continuing Education from Rutgers University and is pursuing a doctorate in Sociological and Philosphical Foundations of Education.  Her research focuses on retention and degree completion of mothers of young children who pursue research doctorates and the implications for educational practice and policy in attracting and retaining this special population of students.

Lauren Foster is an Administrative Coordinator for Undergraduate Academic Affairs at Rutgers.  As Administrative Coordinator, she provides support to New Student Programs, the First-year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS) program, Educational Enrichment, and the Office of Distinguished Fellowships.  Lauren has worked in higher education since 2010.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Rutgers University and studied Product Development at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
