About the Office of Educational Enrichment
The Office of Educational Enrichment is committed to enhancing learning in and beyond the classroom, fostering connections between faculty and students, and broadening students’ cultural and intellectual perspectives through the support of academic and co-curricular programs. Educational Enrichment offers two programs that increase the intellectual engagement of undergraduate students. The Classroom Enrichment program provides support for faculty members interested in organizing a class excursion or arranging a talk by a visiting speaker to enrich the learning of students registered for a specific class. The Sponsored Enrichment program provides support for academic departments or units hosting an on-campus conference, lecturer, or field trip that enhance the undergraduate experience, but are not related to a specific class.
Educational Enrichment in the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs was developed in 2007 as a recommendation of the Transformation of Undergraduate Education, an initiative to examine all aspects of the undergraduate experience at Rutgers-New Brunswick/Piscataway that began in 2004.
